This articles describes Greed for what it is as one of the seven basic character flaws. The components of Greed are mentioned as well as what can cause such a feeling and what greed in itself causes people to do. The article has no specific author but the source under which the article can be found in personality and spirituality is one that’s purpose is in discovering what we are as people. This piece of writing serves useful in my research as it describes my topic of greed in what it is and what it leads to.

Brittany Binowski, a writer for forbes.com and Huffington Post, summarizes in this article how failure can bring innovation and good things but we must be careful not to embrace it always or so openly. Brittany received her Bachelors from the University of Georgia in Magazines with a minor in Speech Communication and New Media and received her Master's degree at NYU. This article helped give me an idea of the factors that play into the other aspect of the "They Say" which is along the lines of caution with failure.

Most of the time, we blame our lack of success on elements we claim to have no control over. This article explains that those conditions are just elements, but not barriers. Kathy Caprino is a success coach, author and speaker motivated to the advancement of women. This article was of value because it spoke of how to overcome these excuses we proves and acknowledge the fact that we are the sole reason for our success or lack there of.

In this short explanation greed is characterized as being a good and a bad thing for people to have. Greed for one gives people motivation to become successful in life but it can be bad in the sense that once people have achieved success they want to have more and sometimes through unethical ways. This explanation of how greed can be good and bad is written by Phil for Humanity which is determined in building a guide for the survival of humankind in effort to help the world, society and each person. Although greed is typically associated as being a bad thing it can lead to good which is what this piece of writing will support in my research.

She is also a contributor to the Australian Institutes of Business for their business blog, where she received her degree from. This article provided an interesting aspect as to why failure should not be so frowned upon. It helped give me reliable and useful information for the "They Say" aspect and helped shape my opinion.

Tellman Knudson is a certified hypnotherapist who has helped over 1 million people with his practice and also founded The New Hypnotists. This article discussed the psychological aspects that play into how we define failure, starting at childhood and going all the way through to adulthood. This article added critical content to the research paper because it provided not only how we view failure but broke it down from a psychological viewpoint of specially what causes this stronghold we have on failure.

This article supports the idea that greed is not good with research claiming the wealthier a person is the greedier they must be and more likely they were to engage in unethical behavior. Based on Aristotle and Plato’s wisdom greed comes at the expense of ones ethics which is the case in this writing. The writer Dr. Karl researches and writes about great moments in science and Greed being not good is one of them to write about. This source has credible people whom everyone knows as great thinkers who describe what greed can lead to and is supported by Dr. Karl’s research findings.

This piece also describes that most people believe greed is bad but it can in reality be a good thing as well as Gordon Gekko in Wall Street would support. For the most part greed is still one of the seven deadly sins but it can be good as the article gives a few examples of how greed in people benefited society and a the same time it is something people don’t have to necessarily have. The author David Levine is a writer for the Los Angeles Times who writes to support the idea that greed can be a good thing and that Gordon Gekko isn’t the only believer in that.

In “The Workplace Toolkit: 5 Essentials You Need to Succeed”, the author focuses on an ever changing environment and our adaptation to it and how we over come it to continue persevering. The author, Robin Madwell, is a writer and journalist. She also does copywriting, ghostwriting and speechwriting. It’s interesting to see that most authors of the articles agree that in order to be successful, it comes from us not our environment or elements that surround us.

In order to consider ourselves successful, we can make minor adjustments to our routines in order to better our productivity. The author, Emmie Martin gained her degree in journalism. She also writes about strategies and careers for Business Insider. It was refreshing to read that if we want our opinions of success to be positive, that positivity has to appear within ourselves, first.

In summary this article does a study to support the idea that greedy behavior gets paid forward more than kindness. People are more likely to screw someone over after they were screwed than to give another person 6 of 6 dollars even after they were given a full $6, in this case they would probably give the next person 3 of 6. The author Michael Norton is a story writer for Scientific American who writes about how the mind and brain work. This source is useful in my research as its study shows that greed is passed on more than kindness when it comes to paying it forward something that would hold true in the workplace.

Dan Pickett is the co-founder of a tech bootcamp in Boston called Launch Academy and is widely known in the local tech community, taking part in various ventures. This article discussed the topic of failure being beneficial, but it is pointless if we don't utilize it. He talks about how we must take action after failure in order for it to turn into anything good. This article provided another reliable and interesting viewpoint to failure and what it takes to actually make it beneficial.

Sue interviewed several managers around the country and discussed with them how innovation is lacking in the workplace due to fear of failure and how they are addressing this issue. This article not only provided more information on how failure is defined but also talked about how fear of failure can actually negatively affect the workplace more than failing can.

Mark Twain was a famous American author known for several novels like The Adventure of Tom Sawyer. Brainy quotes is a website that collects various quotes from many people. This quote helped conclude my article and sum up the point that in order to succeed, you need to believe in what you're doing and work hard and not worry about failing or messing up.
